HERE'S A HEALTHY FALL RECIPE FROM DR. CHRISTIANSON, THAT HAS ANTI-INFLAMMATORY, ANTI-OXIDANT, AND HEALING INGREDIENTS.
EASY CLEAN, MEAN SHEPHERDS PIE
Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds ground turkey meat
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
12 cloves garlic, chopped
1 large shallot, chopped
1 large white onion, chopped
2 cups sliced, chopped carrots
1/4 cup celery, chopped
1 large zucchini, cubed
1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar
3 cups cooked mashed sweet potatoes
DIRECTIONS:
Saute the garlic, shallots, onions together in olive oil.
When the onions are translucent, add in the turkey meat  vegetables, and vinegar, and continue to cook until veggies are mostly cooked-they will cook more in the oven. They just need to be a bit tender.
Transfer everything to a 9X13 Casserole dish.
Smooth the potatoes over the meat in the dish. Drag a fork across lightly to "rough up" the surface a bit before baking.
Bake at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes until nice and bubbly..
Cut into 12 servings.
Serves 12

Note: If you don't like sweet potatoes, you can substitute mashed cauliflower, which mimics mashed potatoes.
Also, feel free to add sugar free homemade cranberry sauce .

ENJOY ONE OF FALL'S COMFORT FOODS!
