Beloved reader, the past few years of the 2020s have been filled with times that challenge our resilience and can make us feel like we have been thrown into a bottomless pit of chaos, confusion, pain, illness, isolation, and even despair.
These past few years have "awakened" me to the collective struggle that has permeated society. Obviously Covid created a tsunami of pain, illness and suffering; yet I'm struck by the additional loneliness, fear and anxiety, and the division the pandemic and subsequent events over the years that were unleashed. It brought to the forefront our most basic human needs: to matter, to belong, to have human connection, and to experience love, kindness, compassion, friendship and community.
Levels of anxiety, depression and isolation are at tremendously high levels; taking their toll in so many ways-physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and even financially. Maybe you can identify, and feel like you've tried everything: including seeing a myriad of healthcare professionals, prescription drugs, diets, supplements, etc. and you may have experienced some relief, but in the end, still not completely feeling your best. The truth is, there isn't really a one size fits all magic pill or remedy.
Sometimes we need to find ways to manage/mitigate the pain and simply maintain a glimmer of hope. And while I don't pretend to offer an instant solution, there is good news:
Nature heals.
God's love never fails.
Our bodies are phenomenally intricate machines with an innate miraculous ability to heal.
When we trust in and work with our bodies, have faith in God's love, kindness and provision, guard our hearts and remember that we are not alone; we can thrive and flourish even as we endure challenging circumstances, chronic pain and/or illness. It's essential to embrace possibility, cling to our faith, and resist the sometimes pervasive, disconcerting, disheartening hopelessness that anxiety can unleash on us,
We need a paradigm shift with the focus on prevention and understanding the root cause of illness; and to work towards developing a healthy mindset to thrive during adversity. Fellow warriors, give yourselves compassion and grace, and remember you are doing the best you can with what you know

Happy Mother's Day!

This past weekend we celebrated a special day dedicated to those who are essential and significant contributors to the future of our society: MOTHERS. They are often unsung heroes: selfless, dedicated, kind and compassionate. I truly believe that in order to show up in their best, most energetic and productive way-Moms need reinforcement. Just like a car doesn’t run on empty-Moms can’t give away what they don’t have. Why not use this day as a fresh start, and give birth to our new ,confident selves?

We need to be gentle, loving and kind to ourselves.; nourish our bodies with nutritious, whole foods, and choose positive and uplifting thoughts.  Let’s commit to saying no to what depletes us or no longer serves us. We all have the right to say no in order to take care of ourselves. Let’s ask for support- support is a survival mechanism. Don’t deny your needs.

LOVE YOUR LIFE, LOVE YOUR BODY.

I recently listened to a number of health , wellness, and parenting summits; and one theme that kept coming up was the importance of and magic of self-love and self care; and how profoundly it contributes to healing and stress relief. Another theme was that of the importance of community. It’s well known that the core human need for connection is right up there behind the need for air, food and water.  Families are the building blocks of community. Involving your family in your self care and/or pain relief empowers them to give back. Giving to others releases endorphins-oxytocin and other feel good chemicals. It’s a win-win.

So I’m advocating for Mother’s Day being everyday.

WHEN MOM IS HAPPY AND HEALTHY, THE WHOLE FAMILY THRIVES!

ANOTHER IDEA; ASK FOR COACHING AS A MOTHER’S DAY GIFT-THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING A Coach will be your cheerleader, advocate, and best friend. I hold my clients accountable and provide the tools for transformation., so they commit to self care ,and  gain energy and confidence to parent with joy and purpose.

YOU ARE WORTHY AND DESERVE TO BE WELL
Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.
This month we are going to focus on your core belief that you CAN and DESERVE TO feel better.
Practice being still and listening to your body. acknowledge and accept your feelings about the pain;  surrender and LET GO.
Mindfulness:
Be present
Be still
Breathe
There are many different types of Mindfulness, and you need to find what resonates for you:
Meditation
Progressive Muscle Relaxation
Guided Imagery
Yoga
Prayer and Devotions
Walking or running
Communing with nature (SOAK UP THAT VITAMIN D!)
Creativity and the arts
Affirmations
And always-BREATHE!
Take time out several times a day and notice your breathing. 5-5-5: breathe in fir five counts, hold for five, and breathe out for five.
Make sure you always-and at all times:
Practice GENTLE LOVINGKINDNESS toward yourself.
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!!!! I cannot stress that enough! Your body is designed to repair and heal itself, tune in to your innate wisdom and INNER GPS!
Your body is your best friend and will always be there: take good care of it!
Access the pharmacy in your own body
And finally, above all else:
Remember,  it is NOT selfish to take care of and love yourself. You need to put the oxygen on yourself before helping others- you can't give away what you don't have!

If you'd like more support in getting to the root of and easing your pain. If you want to let go of what's keeping you stuck; and are ready to experience true transformation so you can participate fully in life; I can help!
Contact me to set up a free discovery session where I can learn more about your challenges, and let you know how I can support you in taking steps to achieve the outcome you desire.

The U.S. Spends 2.5 times more per capita on disease and health care than any other country. Research shows that 75-90% of Doctor and ER visits are stress related. It’s time for us to take control of our own health and wellness and listen to our bodies. We can access our own inner pharmacy by giving our bodies enough sleep, healthy foods provided by nature, exercise, and positive, kind and loving thoughts.

There is so much information out there, and everyone is different. We will help you sift through the maze and learn what personally benefits you. You are your best advocate, and it’s essential to work with your physician and health care team, as well as utilize the plethora of advice and solutions to find what is most healing for you.
